ESPN literally owns much of college football’s postseason

Take a look at the bowl schedule, and what do you notice about broadcasters? Of this year’s 40 games, only three are on CBS networks, and only two are on Fox. All the rest, including the Playoff and National Championship, are on ESPN networks. Let’s go back to the year 2000. 4-star RB Jerrion Ealy commits to Ole Miss to play baseball and football

After securing a commitment from JUCO All-American Scott Phillips earlier in the recruiting cycle, Derrick Nix is back at it again. It appears that Nix and Matt Luke have a plan to alleviate the miss of former five-star and current Florida State Seminole Cam Akers from last cycle and the graduation of Jordan Wilkins by securing a commitment from a top 100 player in 2019. The offense got a big-time boost now that four-star running back Jerrion Ealy has committed to Ole Miss to play both baseball and football. The running back from Flowood, Miss. chose the Rebels over offers from Auburn, Clemson, Florida State, LSU, Michigan, Mississippi State, Oklahoma State, Oregon, and Tennessee for both sports.

UCF RB on SEC football They don’t have a lot of speed

The UCF running back was asked how the Knights’ offense stacks up to the Auburn defense ahead of the Peach Bowl on New Year’s Day, especially when it comes to team speed. “SEC football, they don’t have a lot of speed, honestly,” Killins Jr. said. Doesn’t he know about “SEC Speed?” Killins Jr. may have heard the phrase, but he says it doesn’t quite stack up to what the Knights present.

RB Justin Crawford to skip West Virginia’s bowl game begin preparing for NFL draft

Thursday evening, West Virginia announced that quarterback Will Grier will return to Morgantown for the 2018 season.  Not long after, the same football program confirmed that Justin Crawford has decided to eschew playing in the Zaxby’s Heart of Dallas Bowl. Instead of preparing for Utah in the postseason, the senior running back will instead begin preparations for the 2018 NFL draft. “Justin has logged a lot of miles and been a key contributor for us the past two seasons,” head coach Dana Holgorsen said.
